Now that Mosaica management is a thing of the past, a new day and a new era have dawned at DASS. A new management team has been put in place to ensure that the School provides the quality American education that your children deserve and that you expect. The new leadership team includes me, Dr. Amy Robertson, Principal, Dr. Elizabeth Hydrick, Vice Principal, and Dr. Scott Foerster, Assistant Vice-Principal.
In order to stabilize the school, we have implemented immediate changes to ensure the safety of our students. You’ll notice building projects taking place around the campus.
In addition, two very exciting upgrades are happening. First, the cafeteria is being reorganized and redesigned with the help and advice of Mr. Rudy Rivas. Mr. Rivas is the owner of Cactus Catering which provides quality school food to other premier schools in Dubai. He has agreed to do the same for DASS. Every day your children will be able to purchase tasty, healthy food in the school cafeteria. Sugary drinks will not be sold nor will students be allowed to consume these kinds of beverages while at school.
E-Campus is coming to DASS. We are installing photo ID smart card readers and issuing cards to all members of the DASS community. The cards are color-coded and must be worn on a lanyard while attending or visiting DASS. The ID smart cards will be linked to a centralized network which will record attendance, allow students to check out library books, and also allow them to purchase food in the cafeteria. Money can be pre-loaded on the card through our accounts office and used to purchase food in our newly renovated cafeteria.
Excitement is in the air at DASS. For our athletes, Coach 'Red' Johnston will be spearheading our redesigned sports program. Coach Johnston has years of experience as a Head of Physical Education, Athletic Director, and educator. He will be instrumental in taking DASS sports to new levels.
