Policy and Procedures
The D.A.S.S. school policy for conduct applies to each and every student equally. The policy includes rules and the consequences for choosing to break these rules. They are essential for personal development, building social skills and creating a happy and safe school and a good learning environment. Full details will be set out in the Parent Hand Book.
- Student should abide by all the Ministry of Education and School's policies and regulations.
- Students should come to school on time. They should wear school uniform. Parents will be contacted if students are out of uni- form. (PE uniform on PE days.)
- Hair and nails should be cut cleanly and properly.
- Jewellery, nose rings, and make-up of any kinds is not permitted.
- Students are not allowed to bring mobile telephones to school, in accordance with Ministry of Education's regulations. Mobile telephones taken will be returned at the end of the year.
- Students with repeated serious discipline problems will be dismissed from the school after three notices to their parents. However in serious cases a student may be dismissed immediately.
- Students can only leave the school premises during the day with their parents and with written permission from the school Administration.
- Students must pay fully for damaging any school or any student's property.
- According to the Ministry of Education regulations, students who are absent for a total of 10 days in Term 1, without an official medical certificate, or 25 days total in the whole academic year, should be removed from the school register (that is, they are no longer enrolled in the school and could, therefore, not sit exams, receive reports or pass the school year). Please note that the Ministry has stipulated that absences on school days near special holidays count as three days absence for each day.
General Notes:
- Parents visiting the school are kindly requested to contact Reception.
- Parents wishing to meet any teacher should do this through Administration and Heads of sections.
- Parents are kindly requested not to enter classrooms after the bell.
- Parents are requested to come to school when the administration requests.
- School fees need to be paid in a maximum of three installments.
